Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-06-01

Overview

getwatertech ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to getwater.tech and our related apps and services. By using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to the practices described here.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version here and update the effective date above.

Information we collect

  • Account details you provide when you sign in or check out — name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number.
  • Order and transaction information — products purchased, quantities, payment confirmation (we do not store full card numbers), and fulfillment and shipping status.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, products clicked, referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, and similar analytics collected through cookies and our analytics provider.
  • Support correspondence — messages, questions, and requests you send us through contact forms or email.

We collect this information directly from you (forms you complete, purchases you make) and automatically as you use the site (cookies, web beacons, and server logs).

If you provide us with personal information about another person (for example, a shipping recipient), you confirm that you have that person's permission to share it with us and to have us use it as described in this policy.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  1. Process, fulfill, and support your orders.
  2. Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  3. Send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates) and, with your consent where required, marketing emails.
  4. Measure and improve our products, website, advertising, and services.
  5. Protect against fraud and keep our site secure.
  6. Comply with our legal obligations.

Advertising and analytics

We use Google Analytics and related advertising tools to understand how our site performs and to measure advertising campaigns. To do this, we may share online identifiers (such as cookie and device identifiers) with advertising partners. Under California law, this sharing may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even though we never exchange your information for money.

For US visitors this sharing is on by default, and you can opt out at any time — see our Do Not Sell or Share page. We also honor browser Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically. Opting out suppresses advertising-related sharing while leaving first-party, aggregate analytics in place.

We do not control how third-party advertising partners use information they collect through their own technologies. If you have questions about an ad, contact the responsible provider directly.

Cookies

We use both session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and measure site usage. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; if you do, some features of the site may not work properly. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Third-party links

Our site and apps may contain links to websites and services we don't operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties. When you follow a link away from our site, we encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site that collects your information.

How we share information

Apart from the advertising and analytics described above, we share personal information only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business — payment processors, shipping carriers, and email delivery — and only to the extent needed to perform their service.
  • Legal and safety recipients, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share text-messaging opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and afterward only as required to meet legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations or to resolve disputes.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, and store it on access-controlled servers. The safeguards we apply reflect the sensitivity of the information involved. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential.

If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and any applicable regulators without undue delay, as required by law.
